Learning Together. Growing Together.

Tutoring Children.

Our first project focuses on providing educational support to high school students in Thailand, specifically in and around Bangkok. Thai students, especially in underserved regions, lack sufficient access to educational resources like quality tutoring, mentoring, and language exposure. Schools often face significant challenges in providing students with the educational tools they need to thrive, which includes a lack of extracurricular learning support and mentorship opportunities.

About the project

Tandem-Format

To address these challenges, we use a tandem-format model. This approach involves pairing Thai students with international university students, fostering a cross-cultural learning environment. Therefore we ensure that students receive personalized attention in smaller, more focused groups. This tandem-based support not only improves language skills but also facilitates cultural exchange and mutual learning, which are essential for student development.

Support from locals

Local involvement is key to the success of our project. Collaboration with schools, teachers, and universities is vital. We work closely with local schools to tailor our programs to meet their specific needs and create an educational environment that is both accessible and sustainable.

End result

By contextualizing the needs of Thai students and understanding their educational challenges, Waiwise aims to provide a comprehensive solution that supports both academic growth and personal development. With the support of international volunteers and local collaborators, we hope to create a learning environment that empowers students, helps them grow, and opens new opportunities for their future.
