Learning Together. Growing Together.

Waiwise is a non-profit educational organization helping to learn together.

Who We Are

Waiwise is a student-led initiative based at RWTH Aachen University, one of the leading technical universities in Europe. Our mission is to support high school students in Thailand - especially in and around Bangkok - by strengthening their language skills, fostering learning confidence, and opening doors to cultural exchange.

We are committed to meaningful exchanges, inclusive learning environments, and empowering students through collaborative support.

Why Waiwise, Why Thailand?

Waiwise was born out of a shared experience: during our studies, we spent time abroad in Asia and witnessed first-hand how access to education is still unevenly distributed across the region. Thailand stood out to us not only for its vibrant culture and openness - but also for the clear gaps between opportunity and potential. We saw students who were eager to learn, ambitious, and full of ideas - but lacked consistent access to language education, mentoring, or international exchange. At the same time, we realized how much impact even small support systems can have.

With Waiwise, we want to bridge these gaps - not from a distance, but through genuine partnership. By connecting students from Thailand with volunteers from RWTH Aachen and across Germany, we hope to create a space where learning is shared, growth is mutual, and every student feels seen and supported.
